No, our shower screens are not pre-made or imported from overseas. We manufacture our shower screens to measure in Australia, using high-quality materials and in compliance with Australian standards. This allows us to ensure that our shower screens are custom-fit for your bathroom and built to last.
The installation time for a shower screen can vary depending on the type of screen and the complexity of the installation. On average, a professional installer can complete the installation within a few hours.
There are several types of shower screens available, including framed, semi-framed, semi-frameless and frameless. Framed shower screens have metal frames around the glass panels, while semi-framed/ frameless shower screens have frames around some of the panels. Frameless shower screens have no frames and are held in place with brackets, hinges or channels.
While it is possible to install a shower screen yourself, it is recommended that you hire a professional installer to ensure that the screen is installed correctly and safely. A professional installer will have the necessary tools and expertise to complete the installation efficiently and with minimal disruption to your bathroom.
Despite your regular cleaning efforts, soap scum and mould can still build up on your glass shower screen. It's worth noting that some shower screens use laminate glass, which is made of two sheets of glass with a film in between. Other shower screens, like the ones we offer, use toughened glass, which is a single sheet that has undergone a heat treatment process to make it more durable and resistant to breakage. Toughened glass is considered to be of better quality than laminate glass.
